The culturally rich diversity of Pike Township is home to families that speak over 70 different languages. Meticulous was engaged with our design team to create a new 35,000 sf early childhood learning center that supports and enhances the cognitive and developmental needs of students ages three to five. The play-based program is designed to prepare children for kindergarten and focuses on artistic, social, intellectual, emotional, and physical development, providing a solid foundation for school success and beyond.

The ELC’s interactive design enables students to explore sensory spaces both inside and out, including a prominent central atrium, collaboration areas, focus areas, an outdoor playscape, and greenspace – all designed for kids to enjoy learning through play. The innovative pod design provides maximum flexibility, and building circulation, and features zoo animals and fun graphics to help differentiate the spaces.
Keen programming and coordination were instrumental in addressing the various stakeholders’ needs to ensure the project supported the early childhood services mission for the children of M.S.D. Pike Township.
