Rhodius Park Family Center included the development of a 9,000 Sq.Ft. addition to William Penn Elementary School, programmed to house community activities and programs provided by the Indianapolis Department of Parks and Recreation.
The overall design of the family center utilizes the use of geometric forms and primary colors as a living scale educational tool. The spaces are designed to be flexible and technologically integrated to allow both the school and community to utilize the facility for events that may range from “movie night” to formal business presentations. The main benefit in this endeavor is breathing fresh breath of life back into a community that felt abandoned and neglected.
